Couples Counselling Burleigh Heads
Relationships can be tested when we feel as though trust and communication have broken down. When a relationship is nurtured, very often these issues can be bridged and healed.

Trained in the Gottman Relationship method, my purpose and passion are to support you to establish effective communication and connection in relationships, to provide a strong and stable foundation, that not only supports the relationship between you and your partner but also the relationship you have with yourself.
Relationship Support
Signs that your relationship might benefit from counselling support:
-
You find that you don't talk as much as you used to
-
Intimacy and emotional connection feel to be lacking
-
Empathy towards your partner seems to have waned
-
You feel lonely in your relationship
-
Being highly critical and wanting to change your partner behaviours all the time
-
Fighting and raising your voices at each other
-
Feeling like you can't trust your partner
Relationship Counselling
Sessions can be on a casual basis or part of a program designed to support you to overcome specific issues over a specified 6 week period.

There is no obligation to do a series of sessions and we encourage couples to come and see if counselling is for them by starting the process.

We will ask you a series of questions to establish the background of the relationship and offer both couples and individual sessions to support the process. We have a 'no secrets' policy so that what is shared in the sessions can support both people to deepen in the relationship.

Postnatal Depression

Postnatal depression can be characterised by an overwhelming feeling of disconnect from yourself and your child. It can seem like a huge struggle to get through the day-to-day activities. You may not feel like you can get out of bed or even feed yourself properly, struggling to communicate in a relationship. Feeling low and sad. And a deep sense of loss and grief for the life that you had before you had a child.
If you feel as though you may be experiencing post-natal depression seeking support is a great first step. Kayleane has a particular interest in guiding and supporting parents who are struggling with depression and need a calm and gentle space to reacquaint themselves to the connection that is innate within.
